Winter 2012 - Reasons to build a new home today!

There are numerous reasons why building a new home is a better option than purchasing an existing home in todays market.  The current market is still dominated largely by distressed property sales.  Even if you are fortunate enough to find a "good buy" on a decent resale today, chances are it will need some updating.  You could put many thousands of dallars into renovating and still have an old, functionally obsolete home.  Building can be less expensive than remodeling.   Many of the upgrades and improvements that most people want in their homes are standard features with Green Shamrock Construction.  Due to the current economic situation, the cost for labor is lower today, lot prices are depressed and due to energy efficient construction the monthly costs are considerably less in a newly build home.  Home maintenance costs obviously are far less than a resale since you new home will come with a new home warranty.
